Diary Entry - July 6th 1718

Voyaging to Tairawhiti 

Spash! The waves were very rough on the big waka. The waka was shaking like a earthquake. It was insane there were lots of people on the waka. They were traveling to gisborne it was a long trip it took over one month. And they fish, potatoes and kumara. Bang! There was a big storm in there way. There was humages waves crashing into the waka. People falling off the waka and all the food were falling of to. there, there said the captain gisborne were nearly there, every one was freezing cold like a ice burg. We made said the captain. yay!! Every one shouted.
